I have mentioned IV to a some Indians. They have no interest. Some of them are not bothered about retrogression. They exepect the GC to fall in their lap while they are sipping tea and eating samosa.
Also, it is hard to trust a mainly Indian set up. The Indian contracting companies have set a very shameless level. I told my friends that IV appears different but it is hard to change your opinion when you see something else 10 times a day.

I think your idea is good. But this could be very difficult to implement, at least for USCIS.
Another suggestion is that porting should be automatic. As soon as a person acquires the required qualification for EB2 + a letter from the company that the person's future job will be of EB2 caliber, UCSIS should put him/her in EB2 category. This is some thing we should work on.
So what happens to existing EB2 per your logic. Should their priority dates will also change based on the date when they became eligible. say someone with 15 years of experience with bachelors degree comes to US and files on EB2..so his date will be pushed to priority date of 10 years from now when he became eligible for EB2.
What happens when I port from EB3 to EB2 with Masters in year 2002. should my priority date would be moved from 2006 to 2002.

At least Bush Administration was sympathetic to our cause. Everyone knows that this is a congressional fix but alteast Bush never came up with those anti-H1b policies to destabilize people in GC queue. Now these numbers have retrogressed in month of June when historically this has never happened. Obama is trying to woo people at the cost of Indian community.

I have a friend who got offer like u. He is cautious and paid $350 and met an Employment attorney re. non-compete. If u work at same desk and perform same duties as with ur prior employer, attorney told it comes under violation (as per his aggreement, if it says 'directly or indirectly' ). New employment: Have an offer to start a new job around middle of next year by which 180 days will be complete. New job is very different than current one. Here is my plan:
1. Don't file AC21, hope that I won't receive RFE since my PD wont be current for a long time.
2. Change address, but give friend's address in the same city as mentioned on application
3. Convince current employer to respond to RFE (in case any) positively
4. May be have an arrangement with current employer to work part time when I start new job. So that way, I'll remain on previous employer's payroll and he can respond to RFE...

Like poste din another thread, I called USCIS customer service today to speak about EAD application that has been pending for 60+ days. The Phone rep told that he cannot give me any information about any cases right now since their "system is down". I asked for clarificationand he said that cases are still being processed but the system used to view status is down. Not sure what that means.
Not sure if this will cause any more delays .............. I need EAD renewed by Sept since my current one expires then
Also anybody has any ideas on what "Plan B" might be if renewal is further delayed by sept?

While opinions are good and welcome. My requirement is to see the exact INA language.
I have read the INA Sec 203 multiple times, I could not find the link between ebquota and ebdependents. May be I am missing it. Can some one show the exact lines in INA ?
Think about this "5 year old derivative kid" is counted in ebquota. How did the kid qualify for ebquota ? The law clearly says "to qualified immigrants who are aliens described in any of the following subparagraphs" and then goes on to say the exact qualification.
Don't take me out of context. I do want the kid to get greencard, however I am against the kid being counted in ebquota.
I am yet to get the access to ( I am a recent donor ) donor thread that refers the exact INA language. Can some other donor post the exact INA language in this thread ?

I called them and reached an IO officer and told her that I see my checks are cashed and there is a receipt number behind the check but its illegible and can she confirm the numbers for me. She asked for DOB, address, full name etc. and then gave me the receipt numbers for EAD, AP and AOS.
But if your checks are cashed then the receipt notice must be in the mail.:)
